Today I’d like to talk about the Word of the Year chosen by FundéRAE, as they do every year since 2013. This year the selected word is: arancel (tariff).

The list of candidate words includes:

• apagón (blackout)
• macroincendio (mega-wildifre / macrofire)
• preparacionista (prepper)
• boicot (boycott)
• dron (drone)
• generación Z (Generation Z)
• macrorredada (large-scale raid)
• rearme (rearmament)
• papa (pope)
• tierras raras (rare-earth elements)
• trumpismo (Trumpism)
